The first poem I can remember writing was a poem I wrote for my Aunt Pam in 1984. I wrote it on Strawberry Shortcake paper. It goes like this:
you are my favorite aunt
So many reasons, ask me why, I say I can’t
I like your pretty hair and your skin is so fair
When the sun hits your eyes they glare and I stare
It’s fun when we work at the store
It doesn’t seem like a chore
excuse me but I have to go pee
If you don’t believe me look what’s running down my knee
Thank you for giving me Mike and Ben
I don’t know what I would do without them
Unkie Jon ain’t bad neither
although he is sort of a teaser
now I’ll close with I love you
Remember I’m sticking to you like glue
